In April 2019, Masahiro Furuya was appointed as a professor of the Cooperative Major in Nuclear Energy at Waseda University, and became a successor to the Morooka Laboratory. Our research is based on the understanding of heat and flow mechanisms through experiments and simulations, and we are deepening our understanding by introducing new methods such as machine learning. We are also challenging to develop catalytic technologies and material informatics by adding chemical reactions to heat and flow using three-dimensional modeling, microfabrication technologies, and instrumental analysis.
